Bitumen Repair Glue is one of the traditional methods used for waterproofing roofs, facades, bathrooms, kitchens, and other areas. However, bitumen, in the form of waterproofing sheets (Iso-gam), has a short lifespan and is highly vulnerable to weather conditions. According to statistics, more than 90% of buildings constructed before 2011 have Iso-gam waterproofing. Due to its limited lifespan and susceptibility to various weather conditions, it often leads to water and moisture penetration after a while. Additionally, impacts from heavy objects such as air conditioners and chillers can damage the bitumen, leading to its deterioration.

Considering these challenges, Beton Plast Chemical Company has developed and produced a special product called “Iso-gam Repair Adhesive” using advanced global technology. This adhesive is an economical and cost-effective solution for both local and extensive repairs. It is formulated with emulsified bitumen and solvent-based resins and offers strong adhesion to various surfaces, including Iso-gam, concrete, metals, and other materials.

How to Use

A: For repairing damaged areas of the roofing:

1. Clean the surface of any dust, dirt, and moisture.
2. Remove any peeling or damaged sections from the surface.
3. Apply the roof repair adhesive to the damaged area and spread it evenly using a spatula.
4. Allow the adhesive to cure for 12 to 24 hours until it reaches proper bonding strength.

B: For extensive coverage over the roof:

1. Clean the surface from any dust, dirt, and moisture.
2. If there are damaged spots on the surface, first repair them locally with this adhesive.
3. Pour the adhesive onto the surface and spread it evenly with a rubber squeegee or roller.
4. Ensure that the adhesive layer is at least 2 millimeters thick.
5. If the Bitumen Repair Glue is applied in two layers with fiberglass mesh in between, the surface will be waterproofed for at least 10 years.
6. The surface will be usable after 24 to 48 hours.
