Description
Concrete liquid shotcrete
High speed of shotcrete makes concrete compressed dynamically Concrete liquid shotcrete is an additive in reducing the time of insertion and increasing the hardening process of mortar and concrete, which has special use in the concrete spraying and restoration works of concrete structures.
Shotcrete is a concrete application method in which concrete is sprayed onto a structure or surface using high air pressure and speed. In this process, a mixture of cement, sand, and aggregates is applied in a dense, self-supporting, and load-bearing layer. The high speed of shotcrete causes the concrete to compress dynamically. Shotcrete accelerator, in liquid form, serves as an effective additive to reduce setting time and accelerate the hardening process of the mortar and concrete. This accelerator is particularly useful in shotcrete operations and the repair of concrete structures.
Features
- Accelerates the concrete setting process
- Achieves higher stability in a shorter time
- Reduces the time required for curing and protecting the concrete
- Increases the hydration temperature of the concrete
- Prevents concrete from freezing
- Enhances the adhesion of concrete to various surfaces
- Compatible with all types of cement and conforms to industry standards
Applications
- Use in channels and tunnels
- Shotcrete or concrete spraying
- Concrete pouring on sloped surfaces
- Quick formwork removal
- Suitable for areas where formwork is not possible
- Performing repairs in concrete structures
- Concrete pouring in cold weather conditions
Method of Use
To properly use the shotcrete accelerator liquid, the concrete mix (cement, sand, and aggregates) should first be prepared with the correct proportions. Once the concrete is ready, a specified amount of the shotcrete accelerator liquid is added to the mix. This substance must be thoroughly mixed with the concrete to ensure its effect in reducing setting time and accelerating the curing process. After complete mixing, the concrete must be used immediately, and the shotcrete or concreting operation should begin. Delaying the process may reduce the effectiveness of the accelerator and cause issues with the final quality of the concrete.
