The Contour Gauge Tool or corner meter is an innovative tool that allows tile setters to make precise and organized cuts on tiles with specific shapes, such as corners and rounded or oval edges. This tool is available in four sizes: 25, 30, 40, and 50 centimeters. Its unique feature is the longer arms, which are 3 centimeters longer than similar products, enabling more precise and deeper cuts.

As is evident, the quality of tile work is one of the key factors that greatly impacts the aesthetics of tiled spaces. This is especially important when installing tiles and ceramics on floors and walls. In this regard, new tools are being introduced to the market to facilitate installation and improve the precision of the tiling process. One of the challenging steps in this process is tiling corners and edges, which come in various shapes. In such cases, tile setters would often resort to inaccurate methods like breaking the edges of tiles to shape them, leading to messy and uneven tiling.

How to Use Contour Gauge Tool

First, apply the corner template to the corners or edges with specific shapes. Then, press the corner meter’s prongs so that the multiple blades create the desired geometric shape. Next, place the corner meter onto the tile or ceramic and use a marker to draw the geometric shape formed by the corner meter’s blades on the tile surface. After that, use a suitable cutting tool to cut the shape, and finally, carefully install the tile or ceramic in the desired location with precise molding.
