Description

FLAT FIX spacer

The flat-fix spacer, the top of which is exactly the same as the Mini Fix Spacer, is designed and manufactured with the difference of having a horizontal plate under the spacer. This piece has enough seats on the soft and sinking surface and it won’t go away.

The Flat Fix plastic spacer is capable of accommodating rebars with a diameter of up to 16 mm in its prongs and can withstand point loads ranging from 25 to 35 kg, depending on the height. This spacer is specifically designed for use on horizontal surfaces with light rebar grids, such as soft and sunken ceilings. Its use on other lightweight surfaces is not recommended, as the underlying flat base may cause local weakness in the structure.

The Flat Fix spacer is specially designed to maintain stability on soft or sunken surfaces, preventing it from sinking into the ground while maintaining the correct spacing between the rebars. It is ideal for soft or uneven surfaces where other spacers may shift or sink. By using its prongs, the rebars are effectively locked in place. Additionally, this spacer can set the distance between the rebar and the lower frame or surface, ensuring the required concrete cover over the rebar. Finally, the plastic concrete cover of this spacer ensures durability and protection against rebar corrosion.

Features of Flat Fix Spacer

  • Can be used on soft and recessed surfaces.
  • Prevents the spacer from sinking into rebar or ceiling blocks.
  • Suitable for use on horizontal surfaces.
  • Prevents unwanted movement and displacement of rebar.

How to use

The Flat Fix spacer features two serrated prongs designed to lock and stabilize the rebar within the spacer. After placing the rebar between the prongs and resting it on the seating area, the rebar is securely locked by the prongs. The distance between the rebar seating and the bottom of the mold or surface determines the concrete cover on the rebar. Additionally, a flat plate is modeled horizontally under the Flat Fix spacer, which must be placed perfectly flat on the surface to prevent the spacer from sinking into soft or recessed areas.
