Hydrophilic waterstop

Hydrophilic waterstop is based on unvulcanized TPE rubber and are suitable for sealing executive seams. This type of product increases in volume when in contact with water, and after 14 days it increases to about 400%.

Applications Hydrophilic waterstop

• Sealing the executive seams in permanent or temporary contact with moisture of the earth, surface water, etc.
• Applied in both vertical and horizontal seams

Instructions

First, place the Hydrophilic waterstop strip in the desired groove.
Ensure that the water stop is at least 8 cm away from the edges.
Secure the water stop with nails, screws, or adhesive.
The maximum distance between nails or screws should not exceed 25 cm.
At the ends of the rolls, ensure at least 3 cm of overlap.
Before installing the waterstop in the groove, it is recommended to apply a layer of cement-based penetrating and crystallizing waterproofing material on the surface beneath the wall.
In horizontal and vertical joints, cut the corners of the water stop at a 45-degree angle with a cutter, and place the vertical strip over the horizontal one.
For a + shaped connection, cut four strips at a 45-degree angle to form a point, then connect them and secure with nails or screws.
For a T-shaped connection, place two strips perpendicular to each other and secure them with nails or screws.
Concrete pouring should be done shortly after placing the strip and water stop.
