Description
Liquid Concrete Anti Freeze
Liquid Concrete Anti Freeze, based on sodium nitrate, calcium, and hydration reaction accelerators, is designed to enable concrete pouring in extremely low temperatures. This product reduces the concrete setting time from approximately 12 hours to 4–5 hours. Pouring concrete in cold weather has always been a significant challenge for contractors, as the cold causes the water in the concrete mix to freeze. This freezing leads to volumetric expansion, causing issues in the hardened concrete.
When the water in the mix freezes, a portion of the water required for the reaction with cement becomes unavailable. Consequently, the hydration process is incomplete, preventing the concrete from achieving its desired strength.
To address this issue and accelerate the initial setting of concrete, using this concrete antifreeze is recommended. In addition to increasing the temperature of the concrete mix, this product acts as a hydration accelerator and is suitable for reinforced concrete, as it contains no corrosive substances harmful to steel reinforcement. By adding the specified amount of this antifreeze to the concrete mix, the reaction between water and cement is expedited. This not only reduces the initial setting time but also enhances the compressive strength of the concrete more quickly, enabling the final strength to be achieved in a shorter time.

Applications
- An ideal choice to prevent freezing of reinforced and non-reinforced concrete.
- Suitable for concrete pouring in cold regions and freezing conditions.
- Enables the production and application of concrete in ambient temperatures ranging from -10°C to +5°C.
- Accelerates concrete setting, allowing quicker utilization of structures and molds.
- Highly effective for concrete pouring when rapid temperature drops are anticipated.
- Facilitates repair work in cold and freezing weather conditions.
- Well-suited for the production of concrete in precast concrete manufacturing plants.
How to Use
Preparation:
- First, clean the surface of molds and reinforcements from water, snow, and ice. If possible, warm them so their temperature exceeds 5°C.
- Ensure that the concrete temperature does not drop below 6°C during pouring. Use proper coverings to maintain the concrete temperature.
Adding Liquid Concrete Antifreeze:
- Calculate the required amount of antifreeze based on the concrete mix design and dilute it with twice its volume of mixing water.
- Gradually add the diluted solution to the concrete during mixing.
- This liquid antifreeze can be added to ready-mix concrete, and after thorough mixing, proceed with pouring.
Important Notes:
- A minimum of 1 minute of mixing is recommended for every cubic meter of concrete.
- The antifreeze can be added during production, either in the batching plant or directly into the truck mixer.
Reduce the water content of the concrete by the amount of antifreeze used.
