Description
Liquid Mortar Anti Freeze
Liquid Mortar Anti Freeze, a liquid product based on chloride, sodium and calcium nitrates and accelerating additives is formulated and produced and added to the mixture of concrete or mortar to increase the speed of the hydration process.
Concrete exhibits lower strength at low temperatures compared to concreting under normal weather conditions. If mortar or concrete experiences freezing during the early stages of setting, its performance and durability will be significantly lower than that of concrete protected against freezing. Therefore, it is essential to safeguard concrete or cement mortar against freezing when applied in low-temperature environments.
The use of liquid anti-freeze additives for mortar can reduce the concrete setting time from 12 hours to 4-5 hours. This type of anti-freeze is specifically designed for non-reinforced concrete. If concrete freezes before achieving its initial set and the expected early strength, the water within the mix undergoes volumetric expansion. This water, which is intended to participate in the hydration reaction, becomes frozen and unable to react, delaying the setting process.
When temperatures rise and the ice melts, the hydration process resumes. However, due to the delayed participation of water in the reaction, additional vibration becomes necessary, resulting in weakened final strength. Thus, protecting concrete from freezing at low temperatures is crucial to maintaining its quality and strength.

Instructions for Use
To use this additive, dilute the calculated amount based on the concrete mix design with twice the volume of the required mixing water. Gradually add the diluted solution to the concrete while mixing.
This anti-freeze additive can be added to ready-mix concrete, and after thorough mixing, proceed with the concrete pouring process.
Note:
It is recommended to mix for at least one minute per cubic meter of concrete to ensure the additive is evenly distributed throughout the mix.
This anti-freeze additive can also be added directly to the batching plant or the truck mixer during concrete production.
Caution:
Avoid pouring this additive directly onto dry cement.
