Description
Max FIX spacer
Max FIX spacer has two tentacles designed to lock and stabilize the rebar inside the spacer. This spacer is the most suitable piece for creating concrete cover in structural elements with proportional weight.
Structural elements like beams, girders, tie beams, stairway floors, mid-weight floors, and mid-weight ceilings are typically reinforced with rebar grids ranging from 10 to 22 millimeters in diameter. These components generally possess medium structural weight compared to heavier elements, such as foundations. To create adequate concrete cover over medium-weight rebar, a suitable plastic spacer should be selected that can support the rebar grid’s weight and the loads encountered during construction. The Max Fix plastic spacer is an ideal option for establishing concrete cover in medium-weight structural elements and can accommodate rebar sizes from 8 to 22 millimeters.

How to use
This spacer is equipped with two prongs designed to lock and stabilize the rebar within the spacer. The rebar rests on the spacer’s seat and is secured in place by the locking prongs. Once the rebar is positioned on the seat, the distance from the underside of the rebar to the floor formwork or the concrete slab creates an accurate concrete cover for the rebar.
The consumption of Max Fix spacer is as follows
- For semi-heavy and medium-weight floors: The required consumption is 4 spacers per square meter.
- In beams and poutres: 3 spacers are needed per meter of length, with each spacer placed 60 to 70 cm apart in each row.
- For heavier floors with rebar sizes less than 22 mm: The consumption of Max Fix spacer in this case is between 6 to 8 spacers per square meter.
