Microsilica Gel-Retrader

Microsilica Gel-Retrader is a widely used product based on carboxylated lubricants, silica soot, fillers and concrete retardant additives. This product reduces the permeability of hardened concrete by compacting the concrete mass and filling the gaps between aggregates.

This concrete waterproofing gel reduces the permeability of the hardened concrete by compacting its structure and filling the voids between the aggregates. Due to the presence of a powerful superplasticizer based on polycarboxylate ether, this water-repelling additive increases the slump of the concrete while significantly reducing the amount of mixing water, ultimately leading to higher compressive strength. Additionally, the set-retarding agents in this additive formulation delay the setting time and slow down the hydration reaction progress.

Method of Use

This gel can be added to concrete in two ways:

1. The delayed setting microsilica gel can be added to the mix after all the ingredients have been added to the concrete mixture.

Note: For every cubic meter of concrete, at least 1 minute of mixing is required.

1. Mix the gel with a portion of the mixing water or slurry, then add it to the dry materials and mix thoroughly.

Note: Excessive use of the microsilica gel may increase the setting time and disrupt the concrete’s hardening process.
