One of the main issues with gypsum is its significant weakness against water and moisture. When exposed to moisture or water, the white gypsum layers begin to swell and peel off the wall in sheets. This obvious flaw in gypsum makes it unsuitable for use in areas exposed to moisture. The Plaster water guard spray for gypsum surfaces is an effective solution to this problem, as it can easily make gypsum surfaces resistant to water and moisture penetration.

This spray, formulated with nano-siloxanes, penetrates deeply into the gypsum without altering the color of the surface, blocking its capillaries and effectively making it water-repellent. This product is specifically designed to prevent the penetration of light moisture, but it is not suitable for continuous contact with water. When applied to gypsum sculptures, in addition to making them water-repellent, it significantly increases their durability and longevity.

One of the special advantages of this product is that surfaces treated with the water-repellent spray absorb dust and dirt more slowly and can be cleaned easily with water, unlike untreated raw gypsum surfaces.

How to Use

For Fresh Gypsum Surfaces:

If the gypsum surface is new and you wish to apply the water repellent spray, first allow the gypsum to dry completely. Then, apply one or two layers of the spray evenly across the surface.

For Old Gypsum Surfaces:

The surface to be treated should be completely free of dirt, dust, and moisture and thoroughly dry. After cleaning the surface, use a sprayer to apply two layers of the gypsum water repellent spray evenly onto the surface.
