The Silicone Sealant Gray 851 is a type of silicone adhesive similar to others, made from acrylic resins, and offers good adhesion and flexibility properties. It is widely recognized as one of the best options for sealing and insulation, particularly for sealing UPVC double-glazed windows and aluminum windows. Additionally, it can be used to cover gaps and spaces between surfaces, preventing the intrusion of water, moisture, and dust.

Silicone Sealant 851 is a single-component sealant with an acid curing system, providing high adhesion to construction materials such as glass and non-porous surfaces. This sealant does not crack or discolor over time. It is also resistant to chemicals, cleaners, and detergents and is suitable for use throughout the year.

As a sealant, it has high resistance to weather changes and chemicals. However, it should be noted that joints made with this sealant should not be subjected to excessive pressure or load. Furthermore, due to its low surface tension, Silicone Sealant 851 cannot be painted.

How to Use

Before using the Gray Silicone Adhesive 851, ensure that the surface is completely free of any contaminants, grease, and dust.

For a clean and precise application, it is recommended to tape around the area where the adhesive will be applied to prevent it from spreading.

Place the silicone cartridge into the caulking gun, and depending on the required volume and width, cut the nozzle appropriately and apply the adhesive to the desired area.

After applying the adhesive, use a spatula to smooth the surface and allow the adhesive to dry completely. The drying time for the adhesive is usually at least 12 hours, but depending on environmental conditions and the thickness of the applied layer, this time may increase up to 48 hours. Generally, the curing time for the silicone adhesive depends on the thickness of the layer, ambient temperature, and humidity levels.
