Description
Silicone Sealant white 871
Silicone Sealant white 871 is a silicone-based adhesive formulated with acrylic resins, offering high adhesion and flexibility. It shares many general properties with traditional silicone adhesives. This product is widely used for sealing double-glazed UPVC and aluminum windows and doors, insulation, and filling gaps. It effectively prevents the infiltration of water, dust, and moisture, making it one of the best-simulated sealants available. Additionally, it is ideal for filling empty spaces between surfaces due to its efficiency in blocking moisture and dust penetration.
One of the key advantages of this adhesive is its resistance to cracking and discoloration over time. It also exhibits excellent resistance to chemicals, detergents, and weather changes, making it suitable for use throughout all seasons. However, connections formed using this adhesive are not designed to withstand high pressure or heavy loads. Moreover, due to its low surface tension, it is not paintable.
White silicone adhesive, recognized as one of the most widely used adhesives in the industry, is generally categorized into two types: neutral (single-component) and acidic (based on acetoxy acid).

How to use
To apply the siliconeized sealant, ensure the surface is completely clean and free of any dirt or contamination.
To prevent the sealant from spreading, first, cover the surrounding area with masking tape.
Insert the sealant cartridge into a suitable applicator gun, and cut the nozzle at the appropriate point based on the desired volume and width of application. Then, evenly apply the sealant to the surface.
After applying the sealant, wait for it to dry sufficiently before smoothing it with a spatula. The minimum drying time for initial use is 12 hours, but depending on the layer thickness, weather conditions, and humidity, this time may extend up to 48 hours.
In general, the total curing time depends on the thickness of the applied layer, ambient temperature, and humidity levels. Additionally, note that after applying the sealant, it requires a minimum of 5 to 6 days before the surface can be painted.
