In the field of installations, one of the primary requirements to prevent water leakage in connections is the use of appropriate sealing equipment. In the past, common products such as Teflon tape and paste were used for this purpose. However, Thread locker Accardeon has now been designed and introduced as one of the latest sealing products. One example of these products is accordion liquid Teflon.

Teflon tape, which was previously used for sealing threaded connections in building plumbing systems, is now less commonly utilized. Today, anti-leak thread sealant, also known as Profab thread sealant, has been developed using modern technology by the Chemical Company Beton Plast and introduced to the market. This sealant is similar to other liquid Teflon products available but differs in packaging.

Thread locker Accardeon boasts remarkable features, including complete and effective sealing in plumbing and installation systems. Another advantage of this product is its ability to prevent fluid leakage at connection points. This type of anti-leak sealant can be used not only in building installations but also in various industrial connections. Moreover, liquid Teflon is more cost-effective than Teflon tape and offers better sealing performance. In situations where sufficient Teflon tape is unavailable, connections such as threaded and nipple joints can be easily and securely sealed using thread sealant.

How to Use Accordion Liquid Teflon

1. After connecting the male and female threads with liquid Teflon, wipe off any excess material that may seep out using a cloth. These residues never dry but should be cleaned to prevent dirt from adhering.
2. Ensure that the surfaces of the parts to be connected are completely clean and free from oil, grease, or any other contaminants.
3. Apply the liquid Teflon in a 360-degree manner around one to three threads on both the male and female sides using the nozzle.
4. No tools are needed to tighten the parts. Simply screw them together by hand until they stop moving, ensuring a secure connection.
5. The assembled parts must be kept at a temperature of 22 to 24°C for at least 24 hours to cure properly. This duration may vary depending on the size of the connections. Refer to the instructions on the packaging for precise curing times.
6. If disassembly is required, use hand tools like pliers to separate the parts.
7. Disconnecting the connections should be done at room temperature. If the connection does not come apart easily, pour boiling water or apply localized heat up to 250°C to loosen it. Separate the parts while they are still warm.
8. After disassembly, mechanically remove any dried thread sealant residue from the surface and clean the parts using solvents such as acetone.
9. Note that for reusing connections, fresh liquid Teflon must be applied. Previously used material is not suitable for new connections.
