Description

Waterstop perforated sole

Waterstop perforated sole have treads with a high height, and also have a high thickness so that they do not lose their shape or bend during concreting, and due to having small grooves, it also prevents water penetration.

This type of waterstop is used for waterproofing various construction joints in the floors of concrete structures, reservoirs, swimming pools, and basins that experience expansion and contraction.

In general, this perforated waterstop is designed to seal expansion joints in walls and is made from high-quality PVC. These specialized waterstops for expansion joints have a lifespan equal to that of the structure itself.

properties and effects Waterstop perforated sole

Installation Method for Waterstop perforated sole

To install the PVC waterstop, place it in the location designated for the concrete break, ensuring that half of its width is embedded in the first concrete pour and the other half in the second pour. Pour the concrete slowly to prevent the waterstop from shifting out of its installation location. The same method applies to the perforated waterstop, with the difference that the perforation must be positioned exactly at the expansion joint. Use specially designed clips to secure and stabilize the waterstop in the structure.

Connecting Two Ends of the Perforated Waterstop

There are two methods for connecting the ends of the perforated waterstop:

  1. First, use a heat gun to warm the ends of the waterstop until they melt. Then, place the two ends on top of each other to create a connection. Once cooled, they will bond into a single unit.
  2. Alternatively, use industrial adhesives suitable for bonding soft PVC to connect the two ends. In this method, overlap about 30 centimeters of the ends and apply adhesive between them. Then apply pressure to ensure they adhere completely to each other.
